We are currently open for submissions for Soup’s first issue.
The submission window is May 23rd - June 6th.
For our first issue, we’re looking for work exploring AFTER and AFTERMATH - not the event itself, but what follows. The soft debris. The morning after. The room once everyone has gone. The pause in between a second before it ticks to the next. The poems in this issue sit with those softer spaces: the waiting, the return, the lingering feeling. Some are raw, some are gentle, some are unresolved. All of them were written close to life.
- poetry
- short prose-poems
- hybrid or visual-text pieces (please bear in mind that the final edition will be limited colours)

- We only accept one full submission per submission window.
- We will select around 15 works for a numbered, limited edition riso printed publication.
- We encourage submissions from the global majority - people of colour, queer people and all marginalized people
- As part of the design process, we will ensure there is cohesiveness across the final printed publication (i.e. we will decide on the font, size used). However if a specific font or size is part of your hybrid or visual piece, please let us know about this during submission.
- No submission fee
- Contributors will receive a free copy of the publication & a limited edition badge.
